შემთხვევით თუ კახეთის სოფელ კარდენახში მოხვდით, აუცილებლად შეამჩნევთ ტრაფარეტს წარწერით „საბაწმინდის მონასტერი“.  გირჩევთ,  შანსი  ხელიდან არ გაუშვათ  და აუცილებლად მოინახულოთ ეს წმინდა, ულამაზესი ადგილი, რომელიც სოფლის სამხრეთით, დაახლოებით 700 მეტრში მდებარეობს.  მეც სწორედ ასე მოვიქეცი.

კარდენახიდან მოკლე გადასახვევის გავლა მომიხდა და მოულოდნელად მოვხვდი ძალიან იშვიათ ბუნებაში, რომელმაც ვიწრო სამანქანო გზის გავლით მიმიყვანა საბაწმინდის მონასტერთან.  ირგვლივ ყველაფერი მწვანე იყო,  იშვიათი ჯიშის მცენარეები კი თვალს იზიდავდა. ჰაერიც სხვანაირად სუფთა და ჯანსაღი მომეჩვენა. სანამ საბაწმინდამდე მივიდოდი, გზად შევნიშნე პატარა, უმოქმედო საყდარი, რომელიც აშკარად მიტოვებული იყო. მისვლა  და მისი მოლოცვა ვერ გავბედე, რადგან თითქმის ჩემი სიმაღლის ბალახით იყო შემოსაზღვრული, ახლა კი  ვფიქრობ, რომ ეს შიში, ალბათ ჩემი მცირედმორწმუნეობით იყო გამოწვეული.

ამჯერად უშუალოდ საბაწმიდის ტაძარზე გადმოგცემთ ჩემს შთაბეჭდილებებს. პირველი, რამაც გამაოცა, ეს იყო ხედი, რომელიც ამ ულამაზეს  და უზარმაზარ ტაძარს  მარჯვენა მხრიდან დაჰყურებდა – მთები დაფარული ხასხასა ხეების არმიით.  ტაძარი დაკეტილი დამხვდა, რამდენჯერმე  შემოვუარე და კარგად დავაკვირდი ეზოს. უკანა მხარეს მეორე ეკლესიაც იდგა, ისიც დაკეტილი. იქვე ფუტკრის სკები შევნიშნე, ყვავილებიც მოვლილი იყო, თუმცა სულიერი არსაით ჩანდა. სხვა აღარაფერი დამრჩენოდა იმის გარდა, რომ გარედან დავკვირებოდი ეკლესიას და  შემქმნოდა წარმოდგენა მისი არქიტექტურიდან გამომდინარე. თითოეული აგურიდან გამოსჭვიოდა სიძველე, მრავლისმნახველობა და სიდიადე…  წამით შემიპყრო სურვილმა, მემოგზაურა იმ ეპოქაში, როდესაც  ტაძარი აიგო. დარწმუნებული ვარ,  ამ ადგილას ბევრი დიდგვაროვანი ეზიარა საუფლო საიდუმლოთაგან ერთ-ერთს და ბევრი ისტორიული მოვლენის მომსწრეც გახლავთ ეს წმინდა კედლები. შემდგომში კარდენახის მოსახლეობისგან  შევაგროვე მწირი ინფორმაცია ამ ადგილზე და ჩემი მოსაზრებებიც გამართლდა.

საბაწმინდის მონასტერი ეროვნული მნიშვნელობის კულტურული ძეგლი აღმოჩნდა, რომელიც XIII საუკუნის I  ნახევარს განეკუთვნება.  კომპლექსი აერთიენებს სამ ტაძარს  – წმ. საბას სახელობის დიდ ეკლესიას, მასთან ახლოს მდგომ ბარბარეს ეკლესიას, რომელც გვიანი შუასაუკუნეებით თარიღდება და სამეკლესიან ბაზილიკას, რომელიც წმინდა ნიკოლოზის სახელზეა აგებული.  ნანახი ნამდვილად გაგაოცებთ, ამიტომ გირჩევთ შესაძლებლობა ხელიდან არ გაუშვათ და პირადად ესტუმროთ ამ შესანიშნავ ადგილს.
